Abstract: The application of numerical method in the stability analysis of underground opening during excavation and supporting process is briefly introduced. According to a certain design and construction scheme of a large-scale underground opening, FEM is used to simulate the processes of excavation and supporting of the underground opening, as well as to study the design of spray-bolt parameters. Some theoretical guides to engineering design and in-situ construction are provided.
