Abstract: The engineering geological investigation taken in the explosive area of underwater plug in the diversion tunnel of Mi Yun Reservoir is applied herein as an example to discuss the method for investigating in the explosive area of underwater plug. The emphasis is put upon the statistical analysis of joints in rock mass,the seepage situation analysis and stabilization evaluation for the surrounding rocks of the plug opening as well as the slop stabilization analysis in the plug opening.
