Abstract: The stress analysis is very important in tunnel design. Many results are obtained for the case of single tunnel. Due to the influence of each other, the analysis for two circular tunnels is difficult by mathematic method. The linear elastic problem of surrounding rock of two circular tunnels are studied by means of complex variable method. Through engineering examples, the characteristics of stress of two circular tunnels are obtained, and the obtained results can be applied to the analysis of two circular tunnels.
