Abstract: This paper introduces the type, distributiou and hydrogeological characteristics of groundwater resources in Xian city. Expounds the environmental geological problems and water pollution due to the unreasonable exploiting. To solve these problems, experts proposed the theory, the program, the method, the calculative model and the protective range about the protective area division of water resources. It has practical value.
