Analysis of Ground Settlement around Deep Foundation-pit
1999, 13(4): 7-9.
Abstract:
The method of calculating ground settlement caused by wall deformation presented. The details on reducing settlement are also discussed.
Ultrasonic testing technique of trench in continuous concrete wall
1999, 13(4): 10-12,17.
Abstract:
A new testing method of trench in continuous concrete wall is introduced, by means of which can achieve testing drawing with the precision of centimeter.
Application of Computer Graphics Technology in comprehensive assessment of quality of soft clay ground
1999, 13(4): 13-17.
Abstract:
In the past, comprehensive assessment of soft base quality was usually conducted by methods of quantitative single-factor evaluation. In this paper,a quantitative method using computer graphics technology was applied into the comprehensive assessment, taking 901 Development District of Haicang,Xiamen in Fujian province of southern China As expected, the total labour and the cost were strikingly saved, and the quantitative results met the projcet need satisfyingly We wish this may lead to the initiation of intellectualized comprehensive assessment method and system.
Discussion about CFG-Pile Composite Foundation
1999, 13(4): 18-21.
Abstract:
CFG-pile composite foundation is one of new foundation treatment technologies developed in recent decade This paper discusses its conventional technology including makeup material, constnuction method and pillow setting In addition, its application conditions and design method are also discussed.
Study on probability distribution model of soil parameters
1999, 13(4): 22-26.
Abstract:
A Beta probability distribution model for compressibility modulus of silty clay in Taiyuan has been established in this paper Also,a statistic test has been conducted.
Lateral Deformation Characteristic of Medium Sand by True Triaxial Test
1999, 13(4): 27-30.
Abstract:
Keeping minor principle stress and medium principle stress fixed and loading in the direction of maxinum principle stress is a potential stress path in practical projects under which several groups of true triaxial tests about silt, fine sand, medium sand are studied. The true triaxial test results of medium sand indi cate that Poisson's ratio can be greater than 0.5 so far as to l in the direction of minor principle stress, and less than 0 in the direction of medium principle stress. These phenomena and results have not been considered in modern soil mechanics and finite element method analysis.
Finite Element Method of Pore Pressure Dissipation during Consolidation
1999, 13(4): 31-33,38.
Abstract:
Two methods of pore pressure dissipation during consolidation via the finite clement method are introduced. The difference between their numerical results is compared through analysing an in situ project.
Study on gravelly soil as impermeable material of earth dam
1999, 13(4): 34-38.
Abstract:
The study on gravelly soil as impermeable material shows that the seepage coefficient of gravelly soil fully satisfies the requirements of earth dam when the contents of gravel(>5 mm) and fine grain (<0.074 mm) after compaction are limited within a critical value, and that their dry densities are fully influ enced by their parent rock properties and weathered degree In addition,an empirical formula for maximum dry density of gravelly soil is put forward.
Experimental study on vertical bearing capacity of churning driven cast-in-place pile in Xian area
1999, 13(4): 39-43.
Abstract:
The churning driven cast in place pile is widely adopted in Xi'an area in recent years By analyaing the results of static test and stress test of over 20 such piles at different sites in Xi'an area, the character of load transferring in loess foundation is discussed.Comparing with the regulations of Technical Code for Building Pile Foundation(JGJ94-94),the character of the vertical ultimate bearing capacity of single pile is discussed.
Analysis of Laterally Loaded Pile Groups by 3D FEM
1999, 13(4): 44-48.
Abstract:
This paper makes a thoroughly study on the behavior of laterally loaded pile groups by 3D FEM Some conclusions relating to the displacement group effect are obtained from simulating the influence of several factors.
Application of Cellular Retaining Wall for Landslide Control
1999, 13(4): 49-54.
Abstract:
Gravity retaining wall used for landslide control is wastful in materials exactly, for its quantity of masonry is too much. The cellular retaining wall with the continuous multiple cells filled by the larth cut from the landslide slope for reducing its weight not only increases the weight of the wall itself to equilibrate its horizontal slide and overturn, but also does not reduce its strength too much to attain the goal of landslide control.
Application of short-delay blasting underwater borehole explosion
1999, 13(4): 55-58.
Abstract:
Short-delay blasting is a safe and effective blasting method when explosion region is near by protection object and maximum simultaneous dynamite is limited The experience underwater explosion is obtained by the practical application.
An case analysis of hand-dug pile foundation in Xiamen
1999, 13(4): 59-62.
Abstract:
Based on the results of static load test and coring,a case of a hand-dug pile foundation is analyzed in this paper. The reasons of the quality defect of this pile foundation are discussed. Some proposals are presented finally.
