2004, 18(3): 109-112,125.
Abstract:
Introducing a method of slope stability evaluation based on case-based reasoning, and a case retrieving method using grey-relational theory. Through appling this case retrieving method into practical slope engineering cases, the results show that the method is simple and practical. By comparison with retrieving results of Euclidean distance in the same condition, it proves that this method has obvious advantage.

2004, 18(3): 113-115.
Abstract:
Introducing the study of the stress ratio between pile and soil in a superhighway along the Yangtze River, which has been improved by Dry Jet Mixing pile. The tests for stress ratio between pile and soil of Dry Jet Mixing pile composite foundation, during the bearing experiments and the constructing embankment, are both analyzed. Based on comparing the results of the tests, it is shown that two results are accordant. The final result shows it is feasible for making the stress ratio between pile and soil under the bearing test as the design parameter of the DJM pile composite foundation.

2004, 18(3): 122-125.
Abstract:
The surrounding rock deformation of highway tunnel is an important index to assess its stability and economy of support structure in NATM.It is a data column which is related with measurement time sequence,so we can set up some effective models and methods to predict the surrounding rock deformation. According to the surrounding rock deformation characteristics of Tongyu highway tunnel, the nerve network technology is adopted to predict the subsidence displacements. The research results show this prediction method is simple and effective.

2004, 18(3): 126-129.
Abstract:
From research on flat dilatometer test (DMT), the method of calculating bearing capacity of foundation by DMT is put forward. Take advantage of many DMT tested data from several projects in Shanghai, through the contrast and analysis with laboratory test, static sounding test and vane shear test, the formulae of calculating bearing capacity of foundation are given, and the precision of the formulae is studied. The conclusion shows that the method is feasible.
Study on Soil Sensitivity in Shanghai Region
Fan Xiangyang, Gu Guorong, Huang Hongwei
2004, 18(3): 130-132.
Abstract:
The concept of soil sensitivity is introduced briefly. The method of measuring soil sensitivity by the ratio of side friction resistances from single bridge and double bridge cone penetration test is put forward for the first time. Based on a great deal of test data, to shallow strata in shanghai, the soils sensitivity determined by several methods are counted and analyzed. The recommendatory values of soils sensitivity are given in the end.

2004, 18(3): 133-137.
Abstract:
According the in-situ test and the calculating result of the finite element program, the stress and deformation properties of the culvert with high embankment are studied. The reasonable and effective suggestions for the engineering are offered.
Sequentially Reinforced Section of Tailings Sand Reinforced with Geotextile
Wang Fengjiang, Wang Laigui
2004, 18(3): 138-140,143.
Abstract:
Triaxial compression tests are used to study the deformation and failure mechanism of tailings sand reinforced with geotextile under different layer. The results show there are same behavior of deformation and failure between tailings sand reinforced with one layer geotextile and single tailings sand. With the increase in layer number of geotextile, there are many sequentially reinforced sections born in the sample which are parallel to the plane of geotextile and control the development of shear deformation. The samples represent some higher bearing capacity after strength point. The influence come from sequentially reinforced section to the increase of reinforced soil has been discussed lastly.

2004, 18(3): 147-150.
Abstract:
The seepage pressure on the base of the sluice is a very important force, which influences the stability of the sluice tremendously. When the sluice is influenced by many factors such as the water head upstream, the water head of the aquifer and the seepage lagging of clay foundation, it is very difficult to estimate the value of the seepage pressure on the sluice bottom. A series of data on Zhangshan sluice are analyzed to find the changing rules and the influential factors of the seepage pressure, which laies the base for the stability calculation.
