Study on the Method of Checking Computation for Retaining Wall's Ground Bearing Capacity and the Anti-overturning Stability

  • Through analyzing the factors influencing the retaining wall's anti-overturning stability, putting forward a new method with introducing the partial factor of retaining wall's active earth pressure to deal with the checking computation for retaining wall's anti-overturning stability. In this method, the checking computation for ground bearing capacity and the checking computation for anti-overturing stability have been united. The concept is clear and the consequence is reliable, moreover, it is consistent with the 《Unified standard for reliability design of building structures》(GB 50068-2001) and 《Load code for the design of building structures》(GB 50009-2001).
