The advantages of freezing method and some problems that may meet when use this technique, such as creep behavior in frozen soil, freezing-induced expansion, insulation of frozen soil walls the design of frozen diaphragm wall and so on, are discussed. The structural styles of arch-top frozen soil is presented.
