Runway is one of the most important projects in the first phase construction of Shanghai Pudong International Airport.Based on the data obtained by geotechnical investigation,bearing capacity and settlement of runway are analyzed using both the code proposed method and numerical modelling technique.Especially the effect of paleochannel to runway settlement is analyzed.
