Study on Deformation Modulus of the Desert Sand

On the basis of study on the desert sand through a lot of field in-situ tests and laboratory simulation in-situ tests,CPT and SPT are used to get the empirical formulae about deformation modulus q_c-E₀ and i>N-E₀.Furthermore, the two formulae are tabulated. According to above empirical formula,field and laboratory settlement is back calculated. The result shows the linear formulae of q_c-E₀ and i>N-E₀ are in accord with the deformation property.
