Abstract:
In the practice of the pile foundation engineering of the key telecommunication building that has been constructed and used in Taiyuan, the feedback analysis is carried out for the problems about the selection of bearing stratum, the determination of the bearing capacity of the single pile and the group pile, the settlement analysis of group pile, the heave of the ground and the dissipation of the pore water pressure in the process of pile driving. Some experience and lessons are obtained.

Abstract:
The anchored sheet pile wall and reinforced concrete pile supported sheet pile wall were used in excavations of six twenty-six storey buildings in downtown Shanghai. Earth pressures on sheet pile walls are calculated and the stability of the support systems are evaluated. Displacements of the soils behind sheet pile walls, the nearby underground pipes and buildings were carefully monitored from the finish of pile driving to the foundation construction.

Abstract:
The prpobability distribution of the physical mechanic parameters is studied on some site in Henan province, and there comes a conclusion that parameters except the coefficient of compressibility obey the normal distribution at the α level of 0.05. The Liquidity index (IL) obeys not only the normal distribution but also the β distribution. However the coefficient of compressibility obeys neither the normal distribution nor the β distribution.

Abstract:
How to revise the drawdown in collecting well to eliminate the effect of pipe loss during calculating yields of radial pipe? That is a problem not to be ignored in forecasting the yields of radial well.The shortcoming in currently available formulas for calculating the pipe loss of radial pipe is analysed in detail. After going through a number of simulant experiments and statistical process, a more effective formula is obtaiend. It reflects the important hydrodynamic feature of inhomogeneous collecting water along radial pipe. Therefore it possesses more satisfiable precision than any currently available formulas.
