1. Aims and Scope
(1) The journal is dedicated to advancing theoretical research and academic exchange in geotechnical engineering, disseminating knowledge innovation and technological advancements, and facilitating the translation of scientific achievements into practical applications.
(2) Submissions based on research outcomes from National Natural Science Foundation projects and other major initiatives are particularly encouraged, with priority given to such manuscripts.
(3) The journal publishes original academic papers in geotechnical engineering, covering foundational theories and applied research in fields such as geotechnical investigations, hydrogeology, deep excavations and slopes, foundation engineering, geohazard mitigation, and tunnel engineering.
2. Submission Guidelines
(1) Submission Process
Manuscripts are to be submitted exclusively through the journal's official website: http://ytgcjs.xml-journal.net. Online registration is required, and formatting templates are available in the Download Center.
(2) Authorship Requirements
The order and number of contributing authors are determined by the authors themselves, as stated in the original submission. The first author assumes full responsibility for the manuscript's content.
A brief biography of the first and corresponding authors (name, gender, year of birth, academic qualifications, professional title, research interests, and email) should be provided in the manuscript footer.
A signed Copyright Transfer Agreement and an institutional Confidentiality Review Certificate (downloadable from the website) are required for submission.
(3) Writing Standards
Authors are advised to avoid textbook-style writing and instead incorporate appropriate references. Outdated terminology and obsolete technical standards must not be used.
(4) Funding Acknowledgments
Funding sources, including project numbers, are to be listed in the manuscript footer. Multiple grants should be separated by semicolons (;).
(5) References
A sequentially numbered reference list (e.g., [1], [2]) in order of citation is required. Publicly available works cited in the text must include English translations for Chinese references. A minimum of 20 references is expected.
Proper attribution in accordance with copyright law is mandatory, including the original author's name, work title, and source. Responsibility for omissions rests with the submitting author.
(6) Unpublished Materials
Unpublished materials may be cited as footnotes or in-text annotations but should not appear in the reference list.
(7) Figures and Tables
Figures and tables must be self-explanatory and logically organized. Citations to relevant content must precede the figure/table.
Three-line tables with 6-point font for text/numbers are required. Symbols in figures must align with those used in the text.
(8) Database Inclusion
The journal is indexed by CNKI, Wanfang Data, EBSCO, Chaoxing Academic Journal Service Platform, VIP Network, and other databases. Authors who decline inclusion in these platforms must notify the editorial office at submission.
Manuscripts published or under review elsewhere will not be considered.
(9) Abstracts and Keywords
Structured abstracts (in both Chinese and English) summarizing research methods, key findings, and conclusions are required. Provide 3~8 keywords for indexing.
(10) Classification
A Chinese Library Classification Number (based on the 5th edition) must be assigned to the manuscript.
3. Rejection Policy
Rejected manuscripts will be formally notified. Upon rejection, the Copyright Transfer Agreement becomes void, and all rights revert to the authors.
4. Author and Editorial Agreements
(1) Intellectual Property Protection
For highly sensitive or original research, authors are required to complete legal registration, notarization, and deposit procedures prior to submission to safeguard intellectual property rights and academic integrity.
(2) Submission Prerequisites
①Manuscripts must be exclusively submitted to this journal with a copyright transfer agreement, meaning the work is not under copyright or authorized for publication elsewhere during the review period. ②Submissions must have consent from all authors and agree to the journal's CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, permitting third-party sharing of the paper. ③The first author assumes full responsibility for the content. ④Papers must present arguments, evidence, conclusions, and references.
(3) Review Process
This journal adheres to the triple-review and triple-proofreading system, undergoes peer review, and strictly follows the principles of objectivity and fairness in the manuscript evaluation process. The editorial office will promptly notify all authors regarding the acceptance or rejection of their submissions.
(4) Open Access Policy
Article Processing Charges (APC) are applied based on manuscript length. An acceptance letter will be issued upon payment confirmation.
(5) Author Rights
Copyright ownership remains with the authors unless otherwise stipulated by law.
A one-time honorarium, two print copies of the issue, and six recent journal editions will be provided upon publication.
(6) Mutual Agreement
Compliance with the above terms is binding for both authors and the editorial office.
