Pile length is a key parameter in cement mixing pile composite foundation design.The pile length must be limited within the effective length of cement mixing piles.The effective length of piles not only depends on soil and pile characteristic,but also depends on grouped piles and loads distribution.The pile stiffness is reduced by the pile-pile interaction and the effective length of piles becomes longer.A new optimum design method of cement mixing pile length is to control the composite foundation settlement to get a desired numerical value.

The reliability of the test for composite foundations deserves solid consideration,because the condition of single pile load test is far from that of the composite foundations,and the load board test of composite foundation has obvious size effect compared with buildings in true conditions.Based on the analysis of the affecting factors,put forward some useful opinion for design purposes.

Based on the finite element finite compressible stratums method, the stiff matrix of the pile-soil sustaining system is established and interaction equation is elicited.
