2003, 17(3): 125-128,159.
Abstract:
Through dealing with the test carried out on the end of rock-socked piles embedded in the mudstone, and the piles embedded sliding micrometer pipe, by means of pile end batholite load test and static load test, analyzing the distribution of pile lateral resistance and pile end bearing under the static load, then providing the simplified formula to get the limit friction of the pile lateral resistance. Base on the result, it carries out optimum design of rock-socked piles.

2003, 17(3): 142-146.
Abstract:
Surrounding rock of underground engineering has high nonlinear characteristics, so its mechanical qualities can be studied and predicted by nonlinear theories. Research of stability of surrounding rock with dissipative structure and catastrophy theory helps to unveil procedures and causes of rock failure and develop a method of solving stability of surrounding rock.

2003, 17(3): 147-150.
Abstract:
The lining structure of shield tunnel is composed of several segments and joints. In the analysis of the cross-section subjected to a definite external loading,beam-spring model is usually employed. The frame-spring-peripheral foundation system model is proposed to analyze the respond of external loading. This model has some advantages, like continuous ground reaction and impairment of joint stiffness.Furthermore, based on the example of the shield tunnel through Yangzi River, some valuable results are presented.

2003, 17(3): 151-154.
Abstract:
According to the character of step branch excavating in the Tongyu tunnel entrance construction, the dynamic excavation simulatation of construction process has been conducted with FEM methods, feedback controlling design is realized and the construction is controlled.
Equivalent Transformation of Mohr-Coulomb Criterion and Its Application in Slope Stability Analysis
SHI Wei-min, ZHENG Ying-ren
2003, 17(3): 155-159.
Abstract:
Deducing a general expressions by comparing and analyzing the Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion and von Mises yield criterion. Based on the condition that the area of equivalent circle equal to the area of Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion, then Lode angle of the equivalent circle is obtained, so the Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion and von Mises yield criterion achieve to unify, which makes easy program. The functional expressions relative to the equivalent area circle and every D-P criterion provide a transformation between each other, which make calculation simpler. The results show the method mentioned above is feasible.
Discussion on Soil Reaction Spread of Whole Foundation for Tall Building with Podium
PAN An-ping
2003, 17(3): 160-162,174.
Abstract:
Through finite element analisys method, the model of soil reaction spread is set up. It is obtained that the soil reaction spread principally is dependent on raft thick, elastic modulus of soil and loads of tall building. In fact the reaction spread is reduced from concret wall of tall building to frame of podium, and the spread range about is 2~4 spans of podium.

Abstract:
Based on the current calculational method of the single-direction eccentricity magnified coefficent, deducing another coefficent metheod of the calculation of bearing capacity for the double-direction eccentricity rectanglar extended foundations by an eccentricity K(e) corresponding directly to a dimension of extended foundations. Its feasibility is proved by practice. coefficient methed;double-direction eccentricity;extended foundation;bearing capacity of foundation

2003, 17(3): 167-170.
Abstract:
Based on over-deformation rule, a new method to determine the stabilization of pit, over-deformation method, is established. It becomes facility to calculate the critical guideline of the deformation of the pit. Regarding it as the precaution guideline, we can directly evaluate the stabilization of the pit. Finally, it is applied in the evaluation of the RunYang Bridge deep pit's stabilization and it is proved more efficient than other method.

Abstract:
Prefabricated drains is successful applied as a drainage system in the soft soil foundation improvement in the northeast firstly. Through this project, the relationship between the consolidation of prefabrication drains and the thickness of clay is concluded:in some region, the more thickness of clay, the more effect we can found, on the contrary, the effect is not obvious in the thin clay. It can be refered for the similar engineering in northeast.
