Abstract:
The uniaxial test and Brazilian test have been successfully simulated by using a numerical code named RFPA2D(abbreviated from Rock Failure Pro cess Analysis).Splitting tensile strengths of ring specimens with different int ernal radius are calculated and compared with others.The influence of internal radius of ring specimen on tensile strength is studied,the best ring specimen for testing tensile strength is determined and the relation between internal radius and tensile strength is drawn out by statistical method.

Abstract:
STCM is used successfully in 23 Lot of Shenzhen Metro Phase Ⅰ Project and many technics have implemented in water, sandy & weak stratum, such as ground precipi tation, jet grouting waterproof purdah, geologic pre-predict, base substitute and so on. Tunnel passed two overbridge and sandy stratum safely with quick excav ating speed, good quality, small ground settlement and large economy benefit. Each measure, technics and difficulty of this project are introduced,and it is shown that STCM has a wide apply fonground in water sandy and weak stratum.
The Visualization of Calculation of Uniform Steel in the Cast-in-place Pile with Round Cross-section

Abstract:
On the basis of primary formulas of normal bearing capacity of concrete members with round cross-section subjected to eccentrically compressive loads, and considering the stress characteristics of the cast-in-place pile with round cross section in the engineering of foundation pit, the calculating formulas of uniform steel in the cast-in-place pile are deduced. Consequent ly, the corresponding calculating program is designed by visual software Delphi 6.0. And finally, with the validation of a practical example, it shows that this program is effective and accurate.

Abstract:
Based on the theory of the humidity stress field, some swelling pr oblem of the underground chamber under the action of water is simulated effectiv ely by means of three-dimensional finite element numerical simulation. It shows thats the damage action of water and the self capability of swelling ro ck are important factors influencing the stability of underground chamber by analys is of some chamber supporting scheme. The mechanical effect of interaction betwe en water and swelling rock and effect of support is deeply known. At prese nt, the research can be provided as an efficient reference to the design and con struction for some underground chamber projects.

An evaluation of current design methods of composite foundation of gravel pile for the liquefaction resistance is presented.Also,an overview of cons truction techniques is briefly discussed.Based on analysis effectiveness of grav el pile for the resistance of soil liquefaction during earthquake,the effects of densification,drainage and seismic reducing should be included in a proper liqu efaction-resistance design method.

It's still the most reliable method of getting the ultimate bearing capacity of cast-in-place pile of large diameter by static loading test. The static loading test result is analyzed, such as the Q-s curve, axial force, side frictional resistance stress and bottom resistance st ress, and some useful conclusion are drawn, which can be used in the design and construction of the similar engineering.
