Abstract

An engineering example of composite foundation with the driven cast-in-place piles, deep mixed-in-place piles and cushion is introduced. The important role of the cushion in composite foundation and the problems to be noticed in the calculation of foundation settlement in Shenzhen Area are pointed out.
