The displacement of a new retaining structure composed by deep mixing cement column and reinforced concrete cast in situ pile is decomposed into rigid displacement and flexible deformation. The load transfer function method (LTFM) is a significant means of load transfer mechanism analysis of pile. The paper divides the soil body around pile into two parts, the elastic area and plastic area for the common action of pile soil. According to the law of linear increase of shear sthrength with the depth of natural ground, it gives the solution by the basic differential equation of load transfer function. And the practicability of the method is illustrated by the living example.

In this paper, the concept model of soil microstructure is established from the viewpoint of soil microstructure system. According to the nonlinear features of soil, 7 fractal dimension parameters to identify structure state of soil are suggested with the help of fractal theory. On the basis of the above results, the changing characteristics of soft soil microstructure are studied during solidation using Xiamen soft soil as example, and a lot of important results are given. For this reason, more knowledge about mechanics features of soft soil is obtained.
